About Vikinglotto
Vikinglotto is a multi-country European lottery drawn every Wednesday. Six Winning Numbers are drawn from 1–48, together with one Viking Number from a separate set of 1–5.
How It Works
Each standard Vikinglotto play consists of six numbers selected from 1–48 and one Viking Number selected from 1–5. Six Winning Numbers and one Viking Number are drawn. Matching all six Winning Numbers plus the Viking Number wins or shares the jackpot. The jackpot and Match 6 prize tiers are shared internationally, while the availability and funding of lower prize tiers vary between participating countries.
Jackpot & Rollover
Vikinglotto is a jackpotting lottery with a guaranteed minimum jackpot of €3 million. If there is no jackpot winner, the prize rolls over to the following draw and continues to increase until it reaches the maximum jackpot of €25 million. Once the €25 million cap is reached, additional funds that would otherwise increase the jackpot are transferred to the second prize pool for matching all six Winning Numbers without the Viking Number. The jackpot is won by matching all six Winning Numbers plus the Viking Number. If more than one entry wins the jackpot, the available prize is shared between the winning entries across the participating countries.

Vikinglotto’s largest jackpot was €44,262,542 in August 2016. Two winning tickets, purchased in Norway and Denmark, matched the winning combination and shared the jackpot, receiving approximately €22.1 million each.
